Jennifer Lawrence is making jokes at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.

As Lawrence's name was announced during Sunday's awards ceremony among the six nominees for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture - musical or comedy, the No Hard Feelings star was seen mouthing to a camera, "If I don't win, I'm leaving."

Emma Stone was announced as the award's winner moments later, but Lawrence, 33, did not appear dismayed as she jokingly threatened. Instead, Lawrence threw her hands in the air and appeared to say "Mother!" as she joined in on the chorus of cheers as Poor Things star Stone, 35, accepted the Golden Globe for her performance in Poor Things.

Other nominees for Sunday night's award included Fantasia Barrino for The Color Purple, Natalie Portman for May December, Alma Pöysti for Fallen Leaves and Margot Robbie for Barbie.

Stone and Lawrence have been friends for years and owe their longstanding relationship to Woody Harrelson, who worked with Stone in 2009's Zombieland and later worked with Lawrence on the 2010s Hunger Games movies.

“[Stone] texted me that she got my number from Woody,” Lawrence told Vanity Fair in a 2016 cover story. “I replied, F— off!’ And we’ve been really good friends ever since.”

In addition to Stone's win for Poor Things on Sunday, she was also nominated for her performance in the Showtime television series The Curse. The nominations marked Stone's seventh and eighth acting nods at the Golden Globes. She previously won at the the awards ceremony in 2018 for her performance in La La Land, the same year she won Best Actress at the Academy Awards.

Lawrence holds three Golden Globe statuettes to her name for her performances in Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and Joy; this year's ceremony marked her sixth career nomination at the Globes.
