The Group C finalists performed songs representing key moment in their on Wednesday night’s “Soundtrack to My Life” episode of “The Masked Singer.” Three mystery celebrities sang their hearts out, but it was Anteater voted out first after his performance of  “Johnny B. Goode” by Chuck Berry. The crooning creature removed his mask to reveal Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee John Oates.

“I’ve done a lot of crazy stuff in my career, but this is one of the best things I’ve ever done,” he told host Nick Cannon during his unmasked interview. “It’s been a blast. It’s so great to be in this costume and just sing whatever you want. No one knows who you are. This is crazy. I love it and thank you very much. I really can’t say enough about it.”

Before the legendary musician unmasked the panelists submitted one final guess for who they thought was hiding inside the Anteater costume. Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger were all wrong guessing Jackson Browne, Steve Van Zandt, Billy Joel and John Cougar Mellencamp, respectively.

In his clue package Anteater revealed, “Don’t underestimate a short king! Cuddle Monster might have a few inches on me, but like David and Goliath, this anteater came out on top. Tonight I’m singing ‘Johnny B. Goode’ because I grew up listening to Chuck Berry on the radio and I collected all of his 45 rmp singles. When my mom signed me up for guitar lessons at five years old, this was one of the first songs I learned to play on my homemade, right-handed guitar. It’s not easy when you’re a lefty. Even after decades of creating my own unique sound and becoming an inspiration to others, I’m still influenced by those early musical pioneers. Now I can’t wait to get on stage and show that real rock and roll never dies and hopefully it will get me to the finale.”

Celebrities previously unmasked in Season 10 were Demi Lovato (Anonymouse) Anthony Anderson (Rubber Ducky), Tom Sandoval (Diver), Michael Rapaport (Pickle), Billie Jean King (Royal Hen), Tyler Posey (Hawk), Luann de Lesseps (Hibiscus), Metta World Peace (Cuddle Monster), Ashley Parker Angel (S’more), Ginuwine (Husky) and Sebastian Bach (Tiki).
