Justin Timberlake Reportedly Arrested on DWI Charges in the Hamptons

Justin Timberlake was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons on Monday night.

A law enforcement official confirmed the arrest to ABC News, and said the incident occurred in Sag Harbor, NY. The 43-year-old is set appear in court to be arraigned on Tuesday morning, where the specific charges will be announced.

According to TMZ, sources claim that Timberlake had met up with friends for dinner at a hotel in Sag Harbor. Around 12:30 a.m., he allegedly got into his car to drive back to the hotel he was staying at, and was "almost immediately" pulled over by police.

Law enforcement sources added that Timberlake had been partying at the at the American Hotel and blew a stop sign shortly after getting behind the wheel. Police then began following him, and pulled him over after observing him swerving on the road. Authorities were said to have performed a field sobriety test on Timberlake, however he reportedly refused a breathalyzer.

Several of the pop star's friends supposedly arrived at the scene and attempted to convince police to give him a break, however he was still handcuffed and arrested. As of early Tuesday morning, Timberlake remained in police custody.

The "Cry Me a River" singer is currently in the middle of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, with two planned concerts in Chicago this weekend, as well as two dates at Madison Square Garden in New York City next week.
