Justin Timberlake is back on tour following his recent DWI arrest.

During a performance in Chicago on June 21, Timberlake opened up to the Union Center crowd, telling his fans, “It’s been a tough week.”

On June 18, Timberlake was arrested and charged with one count driving while intoxicated after refusing a “breath test” in Sag Harbor, New York. According to a statement from his lawyer, Ed Burke, the 43-year-old father of two was “also charged with two other court citations, running a stop sign and not traveling in the correct traffic lane.” He was arraigned and released without bail that same day.

The pop star was driving erratically in the Hamptons.

With Justin Timberlake’s court date scheduled for July 26, the “Cry Me a River” singer was able to make it to Chicago for his Forget Tomorrow World Tour stop just three days after his arrest. “It’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now,” Timberlake told the crowd, per fan-recorded video. “I know sometimes I’m hard to love but you keep on loving me and I love you right back.”

According to an anonymous source that spoke with Page Six after Timberlake’s arrest, the “Cry Me a River” singer expressed concern about how the scandal would affect his tour. “The cop didn’t know who he was at first,” the source claimed. “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”

Meanwhile, another source recently told People that Timberlake’s wife, Jessica Biel, is “not happy” about the situation but “will always be by his side.”
