JW Anderson and MGM have announced the release of a new womenswear capsule collection, inspired by the 1976 horror film, Carrie. An adaptation of Steven King's novel, the film was directed by Brian De Palma and saw creative director Jonathan Anderson inspired by the protagonist, Carrie White, who takes revenge on her high-school bullies through psychic powers.

The capsule collection features both ready-to-wear garments and accessories, including puffer jackets, T-shirts, tracksuits and printed co-ords, each adorned with imagery and quotes taking cues from the original Carrie film posters.

It's not the first time we've seen Anderson draw inspiration from the film though, as the capsule itself was first introduced as part of the brand's FW22 womenswear presentation, which took place in February this year. Complete with a series of images featuring Hari Nef, photographed by Juergen Teller, the collection was seen printed as billboards and mounted on vans during Milan Fashion Week.

The JW Anderson FW22 Carrie Capsule collection is now available for purchase from the brand's website, alongside its London store and select retailers.
