Episode 7 of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale begins right where the previous episode ended. Moon Cha Min (Lee Jun Young) emotionally embraces Shin Jae Rim (Pyo Ye Jin) after saving her from the kidnappers. Meanwhile, Jae Rim feels at ease after seeing him. He goes on to tie the kidnappers to the chair to punish them. The kidnappers reveal that they are the uncles of Cha Min’s fiancé, Ban Dan A. After leaving the place, Cha Min drops Jae Rim at her home.
The episode then shows Jae Rim getting into a huge fight with one of her stepsisters and deciding to leave that house. She packs her things and arrives at the home where she and her father used to live. The place is in poor condition and can not resist the cold outside. Thus, Jae Rim can not sleep well. The next morning, after rushing to the workplace, she finds out that her boss, Moon Cha Min, has been conducting a self-defense class for all the employees. Thus, Jae Rim also has to take part in it. It is all because of the abduction incident from the previous night.
In Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale episode 7, the audience sees Moon Cha Min and Shin Jae Rim getting closer during the self-defense class. However, they get interrupted by Baek Do Hong’s arrival.
Baek Do Hong goes on to confess his romantic feelings for Jae Rim straightforwardly. Thus, Jae Rim gets confused as she has developed feelings for Cha Min. She tries to make Cha Min express his feelings to her. However, he stops himself from doing so. Jae Rim gets frustrated and asks him to spend the night with her at her place.

Towards the end of episode 7 of Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale, the audience witnesses Jae Rim and Cha Min driving to Jae Rim’s place. They have decided to stay there for the night. Jae Rim is surprised by how unbothered Cha Min is by the poor condition of her living space. The two then go on to have dinner together right outside the house. However, as the night progresses, they start to feel the cold inside the home.
Thus, Jae Rim asks Cha Min if they can spend the night at his place. When the two arrive there, Jae Rim goes on to have a relaxing bath. Soon, the two get caught up in a romantic moment. Cha Min even imagines passionately kissing Jae Rim. However, in reality, he controls himself.
At the very end of the episode, Jae Rim gets a call from her stepsister, asking her to reconcile by offering her delicious food. Thus, she decides to leave Cha Min’s place at night. This leads Cha Min to think that Do Hong must have called her to meet late in the night. Thus, he asks her not to leave and stay with him. The episode ends right there.
