Kasey Catal is now a certified Swiftie.

From July 2023 until March 2024, Kasey Catal found herself sidelined from action due to a nose injury, and subsequent surgery. Luckily, Catal wasn’t alone during her recovery, as she found solace in her husband Brandon Kirk, as well as the musical performances of Taylor Swift. During a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Catal opened up about her newfound love for the Grammy-award-winning recording artist.

“I always loved Taylor Swift,” Catal said. “I was never like a super fan, though. I was just like a casual, oh, if it’s on, I’ll listen to it [kind of fan]. Then I’m a big [Kansas City] Chiefs fan, so when Taylor started dating Travis, I actually was like the reverse. I became more of a Swiftie because of Travis.”

The Tortured Poets Department [album] came out at midnight, I had my AirPods in. I was ready to go. Honestly, that album is really transformative. People can talk all the sh** that they want about Taylor Swift, but the connection that I just feel, she thinks what we feel. It’s so empowering and so beautiful. My husband Brandon actually bought me the record and he bought me a record player. So now I’m super into records. The music sounds so much better on a record player. So yeah, I was definitely listening to a lot of a lot of Taylor.”

Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department album officially launched in April 2024, with “Fortnight” cast as its lead single. About a fortnight before that, Kasey Catal and Brandon Kirk took part in some WrestleMania 40 weekend festivities, including the GCW Clusterf*ck and
ThrashElvania.
