Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and his wife Makenze are now first-time parents after welcoming a baby boy into their family.

The birth of their son Theodore Jay Cameron was announced on Cameron's Facebook page Wednesday.

"The new parents thank God for this tiny blessing. They are excited for this new adventure and are thankful to all who have prayed for them along the way," the post stated.

Cameron became the commonwealth's first Black attorney general and the first Republican to hold the office in more than 70 years when he was elected in 2019. He was endorsed by former President Donald Trump and is a protege of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
