Kim Kardashian dismisses the suggestion daughter North has a boyfriend: 'She's 5'

It all started with a sweet photo of two celebrity kids: North West, the 5-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and Caiden, the 7-year-old son of rapper Consequence, who’s previously worked with West.

While some people were amused, others found the idea that the two kids were supposedly crushing on each other “disturbing.”

“Is this normal? Thank god for a childhood I had,” one commenter wrote. Others called it “totally age inappropriate” and said the kids were “too young for all of this.”

Still, young Caiden only fueled rumors about his feelings about North West when he brought her a bag from Tiffany’s on Valentine’s Day.

It got to the point where Kardashian was asked about North’s supposed boyfriend when leaving the 5th Annual Hollywood Beauty Awards on Sunday night at the Avalon Hollywood. She wasn’t amused.

“She doesn’t have a boyfriend,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said. “Like, is this for real? She’s 5.”

North received the lavish gift only days after her cousin Stormi, the baby girl of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, received her first Chanel bag and a diamond chain necklace at an extravagant bash marking her first birthday.

For the record, Caiden attended the party, too.

Many of the commenters called out the Instagram account with Caiden’s name on it for trying to cash in on the Kardashians’ social media influence.

One cheeky user got creative: “From the Desk of North West: ‘Let me clear the air now. I do not have a boyfriend. I claim no one. Caiden and I are friends and have been for years. I am building an empire and that remains my focus. I’m chasing checks, not boys. I suggest all you ladies do the same.”
