More importantly, Richards addressed the backlash head-on, defending their decision to give Portia such an expensive present. She emphasized that the teenager earned the luxury vehicle "because she's a good kid and deserves it."

The reality TV star doubled down on her belief that it was a fitting reward for her daughter. TMZ reported that Richards clarified some misconceptions about the Porsche's cost. 

Despite reports pegging the vehicle at nearly $90,000, she pointed out that the actual price might differ from what was speculated. Richards also added a lighthearted touch to the conversation by revealing an interesting tidbit about Portia's driving skills.

The doting mother noted that Portia was quite adept behind the wheel, giving confidence that she would handle the powerful vehicle with ease.

Portia Umansky's Surprise Gift

ICYMI, the estranged couple, demonstrated a united front as loving parents by celebrating Portia's 16th birthday in a truly memorable way despite their separation last year.

On Thursday, The Blast reported that Richards and Umansky set aside any differences to present their daughter with a lavish surprise gift, captured in a heartwarming video shared by her older sister, Sophia, on TikTok.

The clip showed the proud parents leading Portia to the driveway, playfully questioning, "Whose car is that?" Portia's initial confusion quickly turned to overwhelming emotion as she realized the gift awaiting her was a sleek black car.

Adorned with a giant bow, the automobile was dubbed "Portia's new Porsche" by someone in the video. The teenager stood in shock by the car before finally embracing her parents tightly with tears running down her face.

Portia's luxury birthday gift comes just over a month after her dad reportedly splurged on a condo next to Matt Damon's residence.

According to a May report from The Blast, Umansky secured a residence in West Hollywood, situated in the same building where Damon owns an $8.6 million unit. 

Sources close to Richards and the real estate mogul disclosed that the couple "have been living separately for the last few months, and he's been staying there."
