Have a library card? Get in free to the Norton this Saturday

The Norton Museum of Art is offering free admission to Palm Beach County library card holders this Saturday, as the museum and Palm Beach County Library System kick off the 20th annual Families Reading Together campaign.

Bring your library card to the museum at 1450 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday for free admission to the museum and event, which includes storytime, a book-making workshop with Rohi's Readery and an appearance from Dewey the Library Owl.

Children ages 17 and younger who attend will receive a free book while supplies last.

"Reading together is the single most important way to help young children get ready to read," the library said in a blog post. "It helps children develop an interest in reading, as well as increases their vocabulary and general knowledge."

Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, go to www.norton.org.
