Lisa Marie Presley will posthumously release her memoir next year.

According to a statement from Random House, the memoir, which is currently untitled, will be published in the fall of 2025. Presley’s daughter, actress Riley Keough, is a collaborator on the project.

“Few people had the opportunity to know who my mom really was, other than being Elvis’s daughter,” Keough, 34, says in the statement. “I was lucky to have had that opportunity and working on preparing her autobiography for publication has been a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one.”

The memoir, according to the statement, has been long in the making. Before Presley died in January 2023 at age 54, she asked Keough to help her finish the book. After her mother’s death, Keough began listening to tapes that Presley recorded for the memoir.

The stories recorded included Presley’s relationship with her father Elvis, her time spent at Graceland and her “complicated” relationship with her mother, Priscilla. Other stories recounted included Presley’s marriages to stars Nicolas Cage and Michael Jackson, and the loss of her son, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020.

“We are so honored to publish Lisa Marie’s memoir with Riley's thoughtful collaboration, Sanyu Dillon, President of Random House Group, says in the statement. “Lisa Marie led a truly singular life, and we know this book, brought to publication with the guidance of her daughter, will be a beautiful legacy not only for her children but for the generations of people who have loved her.”

The audiobook version of the memoir will be narrated by Keough, and include “never-before-heard recollections” in Presley’s voice.

“I’m so excited to share my mom now, at her most vulnerable and most honest, and in doing so, I do hope that readers come to love my mom as much as I did,” Keough continues.
