Listen to 2 Chainz' New EP 'The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It'

Don't sleep on this week's best new music.

Remember the “new shit” that 2 Chainz was talking about? It's here.

After teasing new material on social media this week, the Georgia rapper delivered a four-track EP titled The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It. The project, which marks 2 Chainz’s first full-length release since 2017’s Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, arrives one week before the rapper participates in the 2018 All-Star Weekend celebrity game. This likely explains the sports-centric EP title, and the cover art’s referee stripes.

The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It features production by June James, T-Minus, 808 Mafia’s Non Stop Da HitMan, and Street Runnerz. YG and Offset also make an appearance on the EP’s second track “Proud.”

Back in October, 2 Chainz hit up Instagram announcing he had another studio album in the stash. Though he has continued to tease the project since then, he hasn’t revealed any details about what fans can except. But that's not the only project he has on deck. Last month, 2 Chainz also revealed that he and Lil Wayne are working on a follow-up to 2016’s Collegrove.
