Ariana Grande recently shared the music video for her Eternal Sunshine song “The Boy Is Mine,” and it featured cameos from the original 1998 “The Boy Is Mine” singers, Brandy and Monica. She’s now brought the R&B icons on board for the track’s official remix. Listen to “The Boy Is Mine (Remix)” below.
The original “The Boy Is Mine” appeared on Brandy’s Never Say Never and Monica’s The Boy Is Mine. At the 1999 Grammy Awards, the artists won Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal for their collaboration. As the years rolled on, however, the singers’ friendship grew icy. They buried the hatchet in 2020 for a Verzuz battle.
