Little boy runs onto pitch at Euro match, lands selfie with Ronaldo

A little boy ran onto the pitch and managed to get a selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo during Portugal's 3-0 win over Turkey at Euro 2024 - but it wasn't funny any more when four adults tried the same.
The boy in a track suit ran onto the Dortmund pitch midway through the second half with a mobile phone in his hand, reached superstar Ronaldo in the centre circle, and a smiling Ronaldo bent down for the selfie with the boy.
The youngster managed to outrun stewards amid big cheers from both sets of fans before finally being led away.
The BBC said that the boy had emerged from the tunnel area of the Dortmund stadium.
Stewards were the more alert when four adults also invaded the pitch, the last one after the final whistle, and Ronaldo also visibly had enough of it.
Pitch invaders are not shown during match broadcasts in an effort to deter copycats. But German broadcasters ZDF showed the incident with the little boy post-match.
