Luke Combs is deep in his feels ahead of the official release of his song “The Man He Sees in Me” tomorrow. (An unofficial version is available on YouTube, but Combs might make some changes when it comes to the Real Deal.)

The country music singer wrote a sweet handwritten note to his sons Tex, 2 and Beau, 10 months who he shares with wife Nicole. “To my boys,” he wrote on personalized stationery, “First and foremost, I will always love you, no matter what.”

“With this song I want you to know that even though I’m not perfect, I try my hardest everyday to be the best version of myself for both of you. I’ll make mistakes along the way and some days you’ll be sick of your old man I’m sure but dang we’ll have some fun too.

He then mentioned that he can’t wait to see who his little guys become. “I hope someday down the road I get to watch you and your kids do the same,” he said, before signing off.

(And no, I’m not crying, you’re crying.)

Followers were definitely touched by the message from the “She Got the Best of Me” singer. “This. ❤️❤️❤️ wow!” “Love this 🥹” “I have goosebumps”

Combs could be repeating the same message to more little boys (or girls!) down the line. Last year, Nicole told Instagram followers, “We decided on 4 [kids], max. But we also may stop at 2, who knows?” per People.

It seems Combs definitely has fatherhood on the brain and might even have an entire album dedicated to that special role. He’s recently shared sneak peeks of upcoming songs, including “Huntin’ By Yourself,” “Plant a Seed,” and “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” all of which sound like they could be an ode to fatherhood.

But if this supposed album comes into fruition, it’s not unreasonable to think there might not be a tour. (Although it would be upsetting to many.) In 2022, Combs told Absolute Radio Country that he wants to be present for his boys.

“I don’t want to be a dad that’s not around or the dad that you see on TV and go, ‘oh that is my dad, and that is where he is today I guess,'” he said at the time. “Family is important to me. I’d like to be the guy throwing the football to them.”
