Marlon Wayans Claps Back at Homophobic Trolls Coming for Him & His Transgender Son — & His Support Is Everything

Marlon Wayans deserves a Father of the Year award. The White Chicks actor has been slamming all the homophobic a—holes on Instagram (and believe us — there are a lot) who’ve come after him (and subsequently his transgender son Kai) after Wayans shared a celebratory Pride Month post on Instagram over the weekend.

“Happy PRIDE to all my LGBTQ+ peoples. Did a photo shoot with the great photographer @parrish_lewis dope pic,” Wayans captioned his first post (of several). ” … P.S. I’m STRAIGHT… well, according to my child CISGENDER male. I just love and support my peoples.”

In the photo, Wayans sits shirtless on a studio floor with a rainbow flag draped over one shoulder. He has his arms around his knees (which are clad in bad a** silver pants and matching shoes), and stares at the camera with a “try me” look.

And, unfortunately for commenters, they did.

I don’t want to dignify their vile and homophobic comments by repeating them here, but we were glad to see some incredibly supportive comments mixed among the bible verses and the calls to unfollow Wayans:

“This is what masculinity and confidence looks like. King status.” “Thank you for advocating for the community before and after you knew your child was a part of it! We need more Black fathers like you!”

A day later, Wayans posted another photo from the same photoshoot. This time, he was surrounded by plastic rainbow balls. “Yeah and just for the HATE MONGERS … I’m posting ANOTHER. As a father of a child in the LGBTQ+ community I show my support. Zero f*cks what people think. If i lost you… GOOD! … How can you love anyone when you’re too busy judging … HAPPY PRIDE to all my friends, fam, fans and loved ones. I am happy you’re happy … period.”

And the same thing happened again. So the comedian posted again that same day. This time with a partial mask (rainbow, of course!) and pins with supportive phrases like “100% pride 0% shame.”

“You mad?! 😡 I can do this sh*t ALL DAY… but instead I think I’ll do it ALL MONTH.
HAPPY PRIDE 🌈💕 Love and Laughter will always drown hate,” he wrote.

The posting has continued, and Wayans blessed the internet today with yet another picture from that epic photoshoot. This time, he’s in a bathtub filled with those rainbow balls and holding up a rainbow umbrella.

“Looking at my comments … i don’t think the haters got my message … HAPPY F*CKNG PRiDE B*TCHES!!! I ain’t God so I don’t judge, I’m father, a friend and a damn loving human so i exercise my right to LOVE. 🌈🦄💕,” he said.

Once again, there are bigots, but more and more their hatred is being drowned out by supporters: “LOVE IT!!! 👏🏾🌈” “We love you Marlon, We need more supportive fathers like you in the world 🌈💖” “So much love for this fatherly energy. Dads around the world should sit back and take note.”

Last year, Wayans — who shares Kai, 24 and Shawn, 22 with ex Angela Zackery — spoke on The Breakfast Club about his comedy special Skittles or Rainbow Child.

“[It’s] is about my daughter,” he said. “I have a daughter that transitioned into a son …. so, I talk about the transition. Not his … their transition but my transition as a parent, going from ignorance and denial to complete unconditional love and acceptance.”

“I want my kids to be free,” he continued. “I want them to be free in spirit, free in thought, free to be themselves. The more you know yourself, the more you can govern yourself, the more you live your truth, the happier your existence. So, if they can’t get that in the household with their father and their mother, how the f*ck do I send them out into the world with that kind of confidence? And I’m just so proud of them for being them.”

These celeb parents are so proud of their LGBTQ kids.
