McDonald’s Canada Is Getting A New Menu Item & U.S. Customers Are Pissed

Sorry grandma, but there's a new McFlurry in town. In an Instagram post uploaded earlier this week, @snackolator revealed that a Strawberry Cheesecake McFlurry is heading to McDonald's locations this summer "for a berry limited time." The new McFlurry features real strawberries in syrup and cheesecake-flavored cookie dough.

The catch? It's only in Canada.

Given that customers here in the U.S. tend to feel left out when it comes to releases in other countries, news of the limited-edition McFlurry has some customers seeing red. A number of frustrated McDonald's fans have questioned why our neighbors to the north seem to get all the "good stuff."

"McDonald's in Canada always [gets] good stuff," one person wrote.

"Why are all the good flavors in other countries and not in the US," another user chimed in.

"omgg i wishhhhhhhhh," another fan lamented.

"sometimes I don’t like being in the US because of stuff like this," wrote another.

Customers here in the States might not want to wallow in their McFlurry sorrows too long because it appears that those in Canada aren't incredibly impressed with the new offering.

In between comments from those wishing the Strawberry Cheesecake McFlurry was available in the U.S., there are messages from Canadians unimpressed with the frozen dessert.

One user went so far as to call the McFlurry "beyond nasty," writing "Eww this is so gross! not enough strawberry and WAY too many of that cookie or w.e it is but it's so dry and chewy was beyond nasty!"

Another person added that we "aren’t missing out on much!!" here in the States.

Well, it looks like maybe we shouldn't be too jealous after all.
