Meek Mill and Wale were a part of the Maybach Music Group empire several years ago, which has since disbanded. The Philadelphia rapper has now addressed whether there are any lingering issues between himself and the Folarin II artist.

The Expensive Pain rapper opened up one of his popular “#AskMeek” question and answer sessions on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday (Jan. 20). “Do you have any ongoing feud with Wale…” one fan asked.

“Hellllllllllllll no,” he replied. “We had our arguments [before] years back but I came in this game getting money with him …I’m not holding no grudges against my peoples.. and for what???” Read the question and reply below.

Meek Mill and Wale’s tensions began in 2015 when the former dropped his second studio album Dreams Worth More Than Money. Though many people often recall when he infamously called out Drake for not promoting the album and revealed that he had a ghostwriter, Meek also directed his anger at the Washington, D.C. rapper.

“Wale just ain’t gone tweet a thing about my album,” he wrote on X at the time. “He’s been hating on me long time now …don’t even text me cornball! #UNOTMMG” This led to a long rant aimed at his former labelmate. “Everybody can see it! None of y’all dudes don’t call me text me nothing it is what it is! I don’t really want no suckas in arm reach of me…. My hands might lose control! That’s how I’m rocking…I ain’t doing nomore acting for no rap sh*t!”

Things got even more tense between the two when Wale commented on Meek’s beef with the 6 God, claiming he “brought a pencil to a gun fight.”

The duo made amends years later and reunited with Rick Ross for the record “Routine” on Folarin’s album Wow…That’s Crazy in October 2019. Listen below.
