Following Ruan Irving's exit and Luka Brunton's promotion to Bosun, the deck team is officially complete on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8.

Who is Max, the new deckhand on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8?

After he arrived to the dock on Episode 3, Max got acquainted with his boss, Luka, and with the other deckhands, Haleigh Gorman and Lara Du Preez. He then introduced himself in an interview on the episode.

"I have been fired [from] all the jobs since I'm 18," the Frenchman said, though he later noted that he does have four years of prior yachting experience. "I am misunderstood..."

Luka Brunton Is the New Bosun on Below Deck Mediterranean: "Pressure Is On"

Though he described working in the yachting industry as "pretty hectic," Max has a work-hard-play-hard mentality when it comes to his time on deck. "For me, yachting is like a big casino," he said. "You step inside it, you play, you make the money, and the only thing you need to happen is to know when you get out."

Max may be treating his work environment like a casino, but he has actually worked as a Bosun before.
