Megan Fox Is Always Down to Experiment with Her Style and Has Days Where She Needs 'to Be Naked'

“It really does depend on just what I’m feeling in the moment,” the actress told 'WWD'

Megan Fox is going with the flow when it comes to her personal style, whether that means covering up or going all in with her skin-baring looks.

“I’m just experimenting now with being in really oversize pieces or being in things that are just not as necessarily revealing. But then there’s a part of me that’s like, ‘no, I need to be naked this day,’” she told WWD.

Over the summer, Fox revealed some of her most risqué looks — including a nipple-baring dress and a barely there bikini — for a series of nature-inspired photos.

The Expendables star, 37, explained that she “doesn’t have one consistent style,” because whatever outfit she chooses to wear simply depends on what she’s feeling in the moment.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the Pretty Boys Are Poisonous author revealed that she’s currently at the stage of her journey at which she’s “rediscovering” what it means to express herself through clothes. But, she admitted that earlier on in her career, she had a “weird relationship with fashion” as she was thrust into fame and a sexualized persona.

“For so long I was rejecting being famous and rejecting whatever this image was that was sort of hung on me, this person I was supposed to be. And so for a long time, I ran from fashion and lived in nothing but sweatpants or workout clothes and never wanted to express myself,” she told the outlet.

Fox’s WWD cover shoot reflects the duality of her aesthetics, the star posing in body-covering pieces, including a floor-length pinstriped coat and a baby doll overcoat, as well as skin-baring numbers, including a black turtleneck dress with a waist-high slit.

In recent months, Fox has been vocal about staying true to her style choices despite what naysayers online have to say about them.

When a photo, shared by Fox’s hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, showing Fox in a tight-fitted Jean Paul Gaultier bodycon made its way onto social media, fans had a lot to say about what was revealed underneath (even though the original post was meant to show off Fox’s new hair color at the time).

"Before you start angrily typing — those are not my nipples, calm down," she captioned her own outfit photo, clapping back at internet trolls who thought otherwise. "They are safely and completely hidden under nipple covers, so no worries. We will all live another day without a rip in the space-time continuum."
