Ms. Rachel Faces Backlash On TikTok Because Of Dylan Mulvaney

Not long after popular children's YouTube host Ms. Rachel revealed she was being bullied online over a fundraiser she started to help children all over the world, she's now the center of another controversy.

Loved by babies and young children, Ms. Rachel's content is wholesome and educational. But after some saw a comment she left for Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender social media personality, Ms. Rachel is now facing more backlash.

Parents Are Voicing Their Opinions About Ms. Rachel Including Dylan Mulvaney In Children's Content

Rachel Accurso, better known as Ms. Rachel, has a loyal following, with many of them standing up for her on TikTok while others try to cancel her because of a comment she shared with Mulvaney.

When Ms. Rachel left a comment for Mulvaney saying, "Sometime when you're in NYC you should be on our show, Songs for Littles! We love you & your singing," it infuriated some who then began bashing the YouTube host in TikTok videos.

The internet is clearly divided with some standing up for Ms. Rachel, and others sharing why their children won't be allowed to watch Ms. Rachel ever again.

TikToker Kels McManus shared a video talking about how she won't be supporting Ms. Rachel any longer.

"If you still support Ms. Rachel after her decision of bringing Dylan onto her show, then you're part of today's problem," she said. "Why do children have to be brought in the center of everything?"

She said she can't "rely on" Ms. Rachel to be "in the best interest of our kids," and that while she "loved" Ms. Rachel, after catching wind of her inviting Mulvaney to her show, things have changed.

Her video went viral with more than 2.7 million views and thousands of comments, with a good percentage of thoughts siding with Ms. Rachel.

'Inclusivity Is Normal'

A TikToker who goes by @Haussdrama shared her thoughts about Ms. Rachel's newest controversy.

"I always knew Ms. Rachel would receive this kind of backlash. It was just a matter of when she was going to receive it," she said with Mulvaney's picture and Ms. Rachel's comment behind her. "But it is a little interesting because since the very beginning of her show, she's had Jules as one of the entertainers, and Jules is very obviously clearly a queer individual."

She then said she does agree with many people's thoughts that Mulvaney is "not the correct person to bring on 'Songs for Littles'" because of Mulvaney's history of mocking women and Ms. Rachel being a "huge advocate for women's rights."

"But I have a feeling people don't want Dylan on because she is a trans woman, and they don't want their kids seeing trans individuals on television, which is very silly because I can assure you, your child seeing a trans man or a trans woman on the TV isn't gonna make them wanna be trans."

One commenter argued, "There’s a world of difference between Jules and what Dylan is doing." Another said, "Jules always seemed like a very talented person. Dylan Mulvaney makes a mockery of women. My child will never watch."

Another TikToker Said, 'We Love Leading With Love Around Here'

TikTok content creator who goes by @bri_motherhood on the app shared her thoughts on the subject of Mulvaney being asked to perform on Ms. Rachel's show. She shared a stitch of another mom saying that her kids will never be allowed to watch Ms. Rachel again.

"As a mom to very small children, we love reading about diversity. We love seeing people that are different than us," she said. "We love learning about others who have different kinds of families than we do, and I think that's what makes the world a more accepting and more beautiful place."

Bri's viewers agreed with her viewpoint and shared their thoughts in the comment section.

"They’re kids. They see people. They only learn to hate people that are different from their parents," one person wrote. Another added, "Omg thank you. They are all mad over this year-old tweet. It is insane."

And then there were a few that didn't fully agree.

"Honestly- as a soon-to-be parent who is accepting to all, I will not be showing my child this. Children are basically sponges. Once they are older then they can make those sexual-like choices," one person wrote.

Another said, "Yeah because why? Why bring her/him onto her show, what's the actual point in teaching small children about this? Dylan can do as they please but there's absolutely NO point for them to be on a show teaching children about colors, number, letters etc."

Ms. Rachel Recently Shared A Video Celebrating Pride Month

In honor of June being Pride Month, Ms. Rachel recently shared a message on TikTok.

"Happy Pride to all of our wonderful families and friends. This month and every month, I celebrate you," she said. "I'm so glad you're here. I'm so glad you're exactly who you are."

She also shared a message to anyone planning to stop watching her show because of her video.

"To those who are going to comment they can't watch the show anymore because of this support, no worries and much love your way. God bless," she said. "I am not chasing fame or views, I'm standing strong in love."

Ms. Rachel's Pride video received more than 2 million views and thousands of comments.

"As a non-LGBTQ+ member, I can not understand why my fellow folks have issues with this kind of support. Everyone deserves support and compassion. Thanks, Ms Rachel," one viewer shared in the comments.

Another person wrote, "This two-dad family loves you!" One other viewer said, "So glad I’ve discovered you on TikTok because I don’t have kids. You’re a wonderful person. A modern-day Mr. Rogers."

Ms. Rachel Was Bullied Online Because Of Her Fundraiser

The YouTube sensation recently revealed that she was being cyberbullied over a fundraiser she started to help children all over the world.

"The bullying is so bad. It's so bad. But I can handle this. Saying I don't care about all kids, it just hurts so bad. That is who I am," she said tearfully in a video shared on social media. "Imagining for one second what a mom is going through unable to feed her child or give her child clean water or keep her child safe. I can do this. I can do this.'

The caption of her video went into more detail about the situation.

"I care deeply for all children. Palestinian children, Israeli children, children in the US - Muslim, Jewish, Christian children - all children, in every country. Not one is excluded," she wrote.

"I think part of why people respond to the show is they feel that care - I see every child as I see my own. I love every neighbor. Any child suffering is on my heart. To do a fundraiser for children who are currently starving - who have no food or water - who are being killed - is human."

Her followers came to her rescue in the comment section standing up for her and thanking her for all she's doing to help children everywhere.

"As a Palestinian mama of 2 littles who love you thank you for being human and standing for what's right," one person wrote. Another added, "For every bully and mean comment, you have 100x the amount of people who love and support you no matter what. You are making a difference."
