Netflix House to offer new interactive experience in Texas in 2025

Netflix has millions of subscribers to its online streaming platform, so the entertainment company knows it has people’s attention.

Now, they’re looking to provide a different experience by allowing viewers to not just watch the stories on screen but almost literally be a part of the story.

They want you out of the house and into their “Netflix House.”

What is the Netflix House?

The streaming giant’s newest venture into experiential content offers fans unique experiences, such as dancing to an orchestral cover of a Taylor Swift song on a replica of the "Bridgerton" set or participating in the Glass Bridge challenge from "Squid Game." Netflix House venues will also include a restaurant serving food inspired by popular shows and a shop where visitors can purchase Netflix merchandise.

According to Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer Marian Lee, the goal is to provide a newer experience.

“At Netflix House, you can enjoy regularly updated immersive experiences, indulge in retail therapy, and get a taste — literally — of your favorite Netflix series and films through unique food and drink offerings,” Lee said in a press release.

Where are Netflix House locations?

The first two locations will open at King of Prussia in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas. According to Netflix, these locations were selected for their proximity to large metropolitan areas and popular shopping areas.

“Both Netflix Houses will occupy former department store locations and span footprints of more than 100,000 square feet,” the company said on its website. “Outside these expansive spaces, fans will be treated to some eye-popping sculptures and a mural mash-up of characters from their favorite Netflix titles.”

When is the Netflix House opening?

The Netflix House will open in 2025. Eager fans can keep up with updates at NetflixHouse.com.

Previous Netflix interactives

Netflix has tried other ideas with its content before.

In 2018, Netflix had an interactive movie, “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.” In Bandersnatch, viewers make decisions for the main character, a programmer who is adapting a fantasy gamebook into a video game in 1984.
