Nike Reveals WNBA Star A’ja Wilson’s Logo

This week, WNBA star A’ja Wilson teased fans with news of an upcoming announcement with Nike on social media. On Saturday, the athletic giant revealed the logo for the leader of the Las Vegas Aces.

“A’yyyyyyyyy,” Nike captioned the logo reveal on Instagram. “Can’t match that @aja22wilson shine. Hyped to reveal the A’ logo.”

Nike revealed the logo in a video narrated by Wilson. “WNBA champion, Olympian, two-time MVP and two-time Defensive Player of the Year. If you don’t know how I shine, now you will … period,” the hooper said in the video.

The use of the word shine was fitting, as her logo was a charm hanging from her necklace. (There was plenty of other shining elements in the clip, too, including her two championship rings and a basketball hoop with a chandelier as a net.)

The logo, Nike explained, is star shaped and inspired by her “distinctive style, incredible performance and unapologetic realness.” The brand further stated that “she is a star on and off the court, inspiring the next generation of women and girls.”

The star is in the “A” of her signature, which Nike stated “is accentuated in her logo in a energetic and playful way, and the star aspect of the logo, the brand said, “is combined with a strong bold foundation, symbolizing the strength and support that A’ja brings to her team.”

Additionally, Nike added two T-shirts to its online store, which are “coming soon” with a $40 price tag. One shirt features the phrase “Of Course She Has a Shoe Dot Com” and the other features her logo.

In May, Nike announced Wilson as the latest addition to its signature athlete family. Nike said via statement at the time that its innovation, product and design teams have worked alongside the hooper for more than a year “to create a signature collection inspired by her distinctive style, incredible performance and unapologetic realness.” This collection, Nike confirmed, will include a signature shoe.

In the May statement, Nike encouraged fans of Wilson to visit Ofcourseihaveashoe.com for more details. On the website, Nike shared a message about Wilson’s collection and revealed the name of her shoe, the A’One.

“It’s been incredible working with Nike toward a dream of having my collection, and it really is an honor to take this next step and become a Nike signature athlete,” Wilson said in the May statement. “From my logo to the look of the shoe and the pieces throughout the collection, we’ve worked to make sure every detail is perfectly tuned to my game and style.”

Wilson is a two-time WNBA champion and was named WNBA Finals MVP in 2023. She is also a two-time WNBA MVP and a two-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year. During her college days, Wilson won the NCAA championship in 2017 as a member of the South Carolina Gamecocks, also earning NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors.
