Olympia’s free outdoor concert series returns to Wednesday nights in July
Music in the Park, the Olympia Downtown Alliance’s free outdoor concert series, is returning to four Wednesday evenings in July after trying Sunday concerts last year.
Presented by Olympia Federal Savings, the popular park concerts can draw a few thousand attendees to performances at Sylvester Park in the heart of downtown, and the Port Plaza at the north end of Percival Landing. The concerts will run from 7-8 p.m. Wednesdays starting July 10, and feature local and regional musicians.
The concert lineup is:
July 10: Righteous Mothers at Sylvester Park
July 17: Irish rock band Slainte at Sylvester Park
July 24: Singer-songwriter Brittany Danielle at Sylvester Park
July 31: Creedence Revelation, a Randy Linder-led tribute performance, at Port Plaza
The Olympia Downtown Alliance encourages attendees to get to locations early with blankets, chairs, and take-out or picnics. Space under shade tents provided by the alliance will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
