Oprah Winfrey Sent the “Abbott Elementary” Cast a Flower Arrangement So Big Quinta Brunson Can Barely See Past It!

The show creator and star showed the gift off on Instagram just two days after winning outstanding lead actress in a comedy at the 2023 Emmy Awards

Quinta Brunson is taking time to stop and smell the roses after her big night at the 2023 Emmy Awards.

The Abbott Elementary creator and star, 34, revealed in an Instagram post on Wednesday that she and her cast received a giant floral bouquet from Oprah Winfrey.

The gift was filled with elegant pink and white roses and stood just as tall as Brunson. She joked in the caption, "Thank you @Oprah for this small bouquet!"

Over in the comment section, famous friends of Brunson couldn't help but talk about the size of the kind gesture.

Bresha Webb wrote, "❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Yes OPRAH! Give our gurl her flowers! 💐." Jackie Aina commented, "This is insane, omg 😭🫶🏾." America Ferrera left a comment that read, "😂 Omg! And still not enough!"

Brunson shared a photo of the arrangement on her Instagram Story and expressed gratitude for the support she's received since becoming the first Black woman in 42 years to win the Emmy Award for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series.

"Thank you to everyone who sent me king wishes and congratulations. I'm just getting around to them all. Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊," wrote Brunson.

At Monday's ceremony, Brunson took the time to thank her cast during her acceptance speech.

"Thank you so much I love making Abbott Elementary so much and I am so happy to be able to live my dream and act out comedy, and I say it every time and I just love comedy so much that I am so happy to be able to get this. I didn't prepare anything because I just didn't think... Oh god. I love my mom, my dad. My sisters, my brothers," she said. "My entire family so much. I love my husband. I'm so happy. I love my cast. Oh, I love Abbott Elementary. Thank you so much."

The multi-hyphenate also received a nomination in the outstanding guest actress in a comedy series category for hosting Saturday Night Live last spring. Abbott Elementary was also up for outstanding comedy series, and her costars Tyler James Williams, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Janelle James, as well as guest star Taraji P. Henson, were also nominated for 2023 Emmys for their performances on the show.

Brunson previously told PEOPLE that it comes down to passion when it comes to wearing so many different hats in her work on the hit ABC sitcom.

"I don't have a method. I just feel like I'm passionate about it," she said. "I recently talked with Mindy Kaling, who's running two shows, and you just care about it so much that you're able to organize stuff."
