‘The Pit Stop’ for ‘Drag Race 16’ episode 9: Trixie and Luxx Noir London recap ‘See You Next Wednesday’

Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s ninth episode, season 15 finalist and “Drag Race” superfan girlie Luxx Noir London makes her recap debut. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap of the episode, Luxx tells Trixie that she’s enjoying the new season and claims credit for the “Rate a Queen” twist because of how she rated the girls on her own season. Once again, Trixie wants to gag over how flawless Morphine Love Dion‘s makeup skills are and Luxx agrees that she’s “the mug of the season.” They also understand Dawn and Sapphira Cristál growing frustrated with their placements near the top because while they’re very good at their own crafts, other queens with more wins like Plasma, Q and Plane Jane keep performing just a smidge better than them.

When it came to the two challenges of this episode, Luxx was not a fan of the spit take mini because she finds it gross and not funny so she wouldn’t tell Trixie who she thinks should have won. On the flip side, she says she’s a “fan of dark fashion” so she was excited about the goth design challenge. Luxx found it “unfair” that Sapphira did so much of Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige‘s garment and then said that her long hair was a bad choice because it covered up the moment of the lace-backed dress. Of the other creations, they didn’t like a single part of Plasma’s, think Sapphira’s could have been edited down, and called Nymphia Wind‘s perfect.
