It seems as though Princess Diana wasn’t afraid to be petty with her fashion choices, and she allegedly didn’t miss the opportunity to drive Camilla Parker Bowles “insane” with one particular look.

According to The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor – the Truth and the Turmoil by Tina Brown, Diana decided to take a jab at Camilla while attending the Live Aid concert with King Charles. She allegedly took his opportunity to don a dress from Dale “Kanga” Tryon, also known as one of Camilla’s rivals.

“Princess Diana wore one of her deeply off-brand, multi-patterned dresses … just to make Camilla insane,” Brown said.

For those who don’t know, Tyron and Charles met back in 1966 at a school dance in Victoria, Melbourne, but didn’t become good friends until 1977 when she married Anthony Tryon. Per the New York Post, their alleged relationship happened when Charles was still seeing Camilla, and Dale allegedly named Charles the godfather of her second child, and he even referred to her as “the only woman who ever really understood me!”

Allegedly, Camilla always grew angry when Tyron came up, and when Diana wore one of Tyron’s designs, it drove her “insane” with fury.
