At the first day of Royal Ascot, King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by an assortment of royals—including Lady Gabriella Windsor, making her first appearance since her husband's death—and members of Camilla's family. Notably, the Queen's two children from her first marriage, Laura Lopes and Tom Parker Bowles, were in attendance. While Tom has joined his mother at a few events, Laura has not gone to a royal event since the coronation last May.

Neither Tom nor Laura rode in a carriage in the procession (though it doesn't rule out their appearance in a carriage during the rest of Ascot), but rather they joined their mother following the grand entrance.

Meanwhile, Camilla's sister, Annabel Elliott, and nephew, Ben Elliot, rode in a carriage with the Earl and Countess of Halifax:

Queen Camilla's son Tom is a food writer, and is set to publish a royal cookbook this fall, Cooking and the Crown: Royal Recipes from Queen Victoria to King Charles III. "As a food history geek, I cannot tell you how exciting it has been to write this book," Parker Bowles said in a statement. "To read original recipes in the royal archive in Windsor, and disappear into the lives and reigns (and eating habits) of sovereigns from Queen Victoria onwards. But this is not about roast cygnet, ortolans and snipe stuffed with foie gras – rather a proper cookbook, filled with recipes that I’ve loved cooking. And hope that you will too."
