Don Omar says he is "cancer-free" one day after announcing his diagnosis.

On Tuesday, the reggaeton icon shared a selfie with an accompanying caption in Spanish stating that he "woke up today cancer free" and that his surgery was a "success." He also thanked his fans for their well-wishes.

According to the National Cancer Institute, a pathology report is typically sent to a patient's doctor within 10 days of surgery.

The update on his condition comes a day after a shocking Instagram post, in which Don revealed he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer. He shared a photo of himself wearing a bracelet from Orlando Health, a healthcare organization based in Orlando, Florida.

"Today yes, but tomorrow I won't have cancer," Don Omar wrote in Spanish. "Good intentions are well received. See you soon."

Several of Don Omar's Latin music peers took to the comments section to share their well-wishes for the 46-year-old.
