Guitar player Richie Sambora is up for a Bon Jovi reunion, so long as frontman Jon Bon Jovi can hold up his end of that potential deal.

Sambora, who abruptly left the New Jersey rock band in 2013 in the middle of an international tour, said on YouTube’s “The Allison Hagendorf Show” that he recently met with Bon Jovi to discuss the vocal cord surgery the singer had in 2022 — and is still working to recover from completely.

“I would definitely go,” Sambora said Wednesday. “If he gets [his voice] back, I’d go play. I’ve got songs.”

Sambora told Hagendorf he envisions doing a duet version of the band’s 2000 hit “It’s My Life,” which he and Bon Jovi wrote together.

“I would without a doubt go back,” the 64-year-old Perth Amboy, N.J. native clarified. “The world needs it.”

Bon Jovi told Ultimate Classic Rock in March that he and Sambora lost touch because his longtime wingman stopped showing up for work — though he clarified “there’s nothing but love” between them. Sambora has since said he was dealing with emotional and substance abuse issues at the time and apologized for how he and the band parted ways.

A four-part docuseries called “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story” premiered on Hulu and Disney+ on April 26 and seems to have somewhat helped smooth things over between Sambora and Bon Jovi.

Bon Jovi said while promoting the series that he too can see rocking with Sambora again.

“If he wanted to show up and play sometime, he knows the songs,” Bon Jovi said on “Audacy Check-In.”
