Roxanne Perez scored a major win on the March 7 episode of WWE NXT, but she ended the night in an ambulance.
On the “Roadblock” edition of the show, the NXT Women’s Champion defended her title against former NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura. Ahead of the main event, Perez noted that she had never trained so hard for a match, and this preparation, paired with a grueling main event, apparently caught up with her.
Perez ultimately pinned Satomura to win the hard-fought battle. After the bell rang, Perez promptly collapsed. Perez’ trainer, Booker T, left his seat at the commentary team to check on Perez as the medical team evaluated her. Perez was taken out on a stretcher, and Shawn Michaels came out to be with Perez as the stretcher was loaded into an ambulance.
