Seven top film producers will reveal secrets behind their projects when they join Gold Derby’s special “Meet the Experts” Q&A event with 2024 awards contenders. They will participate in two video discussions to premiere on Tuesday, November 28, at 6:00 p.m. PT; 9:00 p.m. ET. We’ll have a one-on-one with our senior editor Daniel Montgomery and a roundtable chat with all of the group together.

Bio: Elizabeth Raposo’s career has included “The Fountain,” “61st Street” and the upcoming “Kill Them All” and “Rainbow Six.”

Killers of the Flower Moon (Apple Original Films)

Synopsis: When oil is discovered in 1920s Oklahoma under Osage Nation land, the Osage people are murdered one by one – until the FBI steps in to unravel the mystery.

Bio: Justine Conte’s career has included “Silence,” “The Irishman,” “Vault” and “Pretend It’s a City.”

Maestro (Netflix)

Synopsis: This love story chronicles the lifelong relationship of conductor-composer Leonard Bernstein and actress Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein.

Bio: Fred Berner was a three-time Emmy nominee for “Don’t Touch,” “Without Warning: The James Brady Story” and “About Us: The Dignity of Children.” Other projects have included “Pollock” and “Law and Order.”

Rustin (Netflix)

Synopsis: Activist Bayard Rustin faces racism and homophobia as he helps change the course of Civil Rights history by orchestrating the 1963 March on Washington.

Bio: Bruce Cohen was an Oscar winner for “American Beauty” and was nominated for “Milk” and “Silver Linings Playbook.” He was an Emmy nominee for “83rd Annual Academy Awards.” Tonia Davis was an Emmy nominee for “We the People,” “Ada Twist, Scientist,” “Waffles + Mochi,” “Becoming” and “The Light We Carry: Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.”
