‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Untucked’ season 6 episode 4 recap: ‘Smokin’ Hot Firefighter Makeovers’

“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” continued its 9th season on Friday, May 31 with the fourth episode featuring returning queens from seasons past. In the sister series “Untucked,” now in its 6th “All Stars” season, the queens throw back a cocktail and dish the dirt backstage on the latest challenge. This week the queens competed in “Smokin’ Hot Firefighter Makeovers,” bringing a male firefighter into the fold with a makeover and dancing in a girl group performance challenge. Prior to RuPaul Charles announcing the official top two performers of the week next to earn the coveted Beautiful Benefactress Badges, the queens gathered backstage with the firefighters to reflect on the fashion-focused challenge.

For the firefighters, used to be called heroes, the drag queens were the heroes this week, as Adam put it, for being “unapologetically you guys” and being an inspiration to so many people back home. Anaré added that this was the best way to do drag for the first time, even if Jorgeous and Plastique Tiara got him to shave his eyebrows off for the makeover. Jorgeous spoke up that she thinks they’ll be in top because of how clear their teamwork came across and the strength of their verses. But Angeria Paris VanMichaels thought that Gottmik and Nina West also got strong critiques and could be in the top. Angeria gave the impression that she didn’t think they’d be in top, but the group of queens reassured her that they got great critiques on their lyrics and the way that Shannel painted Brad Lee’s face.

True to form, the queens also wanted to dish about their crushes around the room. Jorgeous admitted to being smitten with Brad Lee and then Roxxxy Andrews got Nina to admit to finding Nathan cute. Angeria also spoke up to compliment how well Nathan’s face was painted and that she wasn’t too shy to say it turns her on. The Brothers Osborne joined the party later as guest judges and complimented the firefighters in the room for coming to the show for this challenge because they have family members in the industry that definitely would not have. They added that they’re not concerned with any “haters” because they realized a long time ago when one of them came out that it only empowers them to be more proud in their visibility as advocates.

With everyone receiving such strong critiques from the judges, the girls all prepared for the potential lip sync and were eager to grab another Beautiful Benefactress Badge for their jackets. In the end, Roxxxy and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo were named the top two and a tie was declared after their lip sync battle. As dual winners, the girls agreed to use their power to cut off another queen on the same one that cut off Roxxxy earlier in the competition: Angeria.
