Ryan Gosling is ready to channel Ken at the Oscars.

The actor, 43, is set to perform the Oscar-nominated Barbie song "I'm Just Ken" at the upcoming 96th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 10, Variety reported on Monday.

As confirmed on Wednesday by the Academy, the other original song nominees and performers are: “The Fire Inside” from Flamin’ Hot (performed by Becky G, music and lyric by Diane Warren), “It Never Went Away” from American Symphony (performed by Jon Batiste, music and lyric by Jon Batiste and Dan Wilson), “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” from Killers of the Flower Moon (performed by Scott George and the Osage Singers, music and lyric by Scott George) and “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie (performed by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell, music and lyric by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell).

Though Gosling isn't nominated for the tune in the Best Original Song category (writers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt got the recognition there), he did earn a Best Supporting Actor nomination for playing Ken in Barbie.

Earlier this month, Gosling told Variety that he hadn't yet been approached to sing at the Oscars.

"It might be too much of a risk to have me do it. I don’t know how that would work. But I’m open to it," he said at the time. He further joked, "It’s anthemic. So we’ll need a budget."

Songwriter Ronson jumped at the chance to work with writer-director Greta Gerwig on the soundtrack for Barbie — but he didn't expect "I'm Just Ken" to take on the life that it has.

"There was never any idea in the script that Ryan was going to sing. It was like, maybe there'll be a song in the credits," Ronson told PEOPLE. "He's the tragic No. 2 — I wanted you to feel his pain. We wrote this song, and it was almost like a Beach Boys demo, a ballad. I sent it to Greta, and she really dug it. Then she said, 'I played this for Ryan. He wants to sing it in the film.' I was just so gobsmacked."
