Sebring's summer concert series returns Saturday

Sebring-area residents can enjoy music in the park again this summer.

The Friends of the Sebring Parks has announced the schedule for this year’s Summer Concert Series at South Side Memorial Park on West Texas Avenue.

Concerts will be 6 to 8 p.m. on several Saturdays during the summer. The schedule follows:

June 15 – John Hampu Band, old-time rock and roll.

July 27 – American Steal Band, classic rock and country.

Aug. 10 – The Tropiholics, trop-rock music in island style.

Aug. 24 – The Uptown Band, ’60s to ’80s pop, rock and country.

"South Side Memorial Park is such a beautiful setting for summer concerts – sun and shade, a cool breeze on a summer evening, and great music,” said Sue Sanor, summer concert coordinator. “Bring your family and friends and enjoy our park."

Food will be available at Deb's Concession. Bring your own chair or sit at picnic tables nearby.

Donations are being accepted for the free concerts. Mail payments to Friends of the Sebring Parks, P.O. Box 274, Sebring OH 44672.

At the July 27 concert, a drawing will be held during the American Steal Band show for all who donate $10 or more to the concerts. Prizes will be gift cards to Mike's Place restaurant, 1700 S. Water Street in Kent. First prize is a $100 gift card; second prize is a $75 gift card; and third prize is a $50 gift card.
