Shaboozey’s third album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going is only days away, set for release on Friday, May 31. In anticipation for the record, the fast-rising hitmaker has unveiled the full 12-song track list which features appearances from Noah Cyrus, Paul Cauthen, and BigXthaPlug.

The album opens with “Horses & Hellcats” as a precursor to “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” the single that Shaboozey is currently riding up the charts with. In April, the song hit Number One on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, dethroning Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em.” It was a history-making feat, marking the first time two Black artists have held the position consecutively.

Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going also includes the previously released singles “Annabelle,” “Let It Burn,” and “Vegas.” New offerings from the album include deep cuts “East of Massanutten,” “Drink Don’t Need No Mix” with BigXThaPlug, “Last of my Kind” with Paul Cauthen, and “My Fault” with Noah Cyrus.

As a rapper, singer, and producer, Shaboozey has been toying around with the boundaries of hip-hop and country. It’s what made his two appearances on Beyoncé’s similarly genre-bending album Cowboy Carter — on “Spaghettii” and “Sweet Honey Buckiin” — a perfect fit. And he’s just as comfortable unapologetically taking up space in country as she is.

As he unveiled the track list for the album, Shaboozey shared an official album trailer centered on a rustic, Western set. The man in the video can’t seem to escape the musician no matter where he goes — there’s an ad for Shaboozey in the newspaper, and “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is about to play on the radio when he gets in the car. When the man tries to unwind with some fishing, his portable radio is only picking up static until it clears up enough to play a promotion for one of Shaboozey’s live performances. He ends up chucking the radio into the water.

At the end of the clip, as the man is attempting to repair his truck, which broke down on the side of the road, a bus pulls off with one less passenger. As it rides away, Shaboozey is left standing face-to-face with the irritable man, guitar and luggage in hand.

On the cover of Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, Shaboozey is similarly stationed with just his guitar and trunk luggage. “Been waiting for this moment,” he captioned the image on Instagram.
