Hot off the heels of what went down on WWE NXT Tuesday night, Shawn Michaels is teasing some other big announcements coming soon.
WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels recently spoke with KTNV Channel 13 in Las Vegas. When discussing the surprise of TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace appearing on NXT Tuesday night, Michaels teases other exciting announcements relating to cross-promotion that will be happening soon while slyly plugging next weekend’s Battleground premium live event.
“Well, look, obviously, a lot of those decisions get made by people above me. But look, I have no doubt that there’s gonna be some very exciting announcements coming down the pipe, let’s put it that way,” Shawn Michaels teased. “I will say this again: it comes back to wanting to entertain the people that do this.
“And you just said it, for fans, we have wanted A, B, and C for so long; I don’t know, and I guess for those of us that get to do this behind the scenes, those are things that we’ve wanted to see. So why not see if we can bring you guys what it is you’ve been looking for? And again, we’re just honored to have Jordynne, that is going to be a huge match at Battleground on June 9. Shawn Michaels claims he thought Ethan Page was under contract somewhere else
“I’ve been a fan of hers for a long time, thrilled to finally have her here in NXT. And then, of course, All Ego Ethan Page made quite the impact. Which I — heck I thought he was under contract somewhere else. But again, it’s obviously a very exciting time to be a wrestling fan, and we’ll see how much of it culminates at Battleground on June 9. But I’m sure a lot of things are going to be going on that night, so I wouldn’t miss it.”
