Slash: “2025 Is All About Guns N’ Roses”

Slash has had a busy year, releasing a new solo album, unveiling signature model guitars, and plotting a traveling blues festival. But 2025 will be “all about Guns N’ Roses,” in the guitarist’s own words.

In a new interview, Slash discussed his future plans now that he’s fresh off the release of his blues LP, Orgy of the Damned. Not only is he set to record a new album with his long-running band the Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, but GN’R appear to have major plans in store for 2025, as well.

“I’m going into the studio with the Conspirators, getting a new record done and then after that, 2025 is all about Guns N’ Roses,” he told Loudwire Nights of his plans following his upcoming summer tour. “We’re trying to get some things going with that. I think there’s a small tour in the summertime next year. I heard a rumor about that anyway, so that’s going to be focused on that.”

He added: “But prior to that, it’s the ‘S.E.R.P.E.N.T.’ tour, and then the Conspirators.”

The “S.E.R.P.E.N.T.” traveling blues festival — featuring Slash headlining a bill that includes Warren Haynes Band, Keb’ ‘Mo, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Robert Randolph, and other artists — is set to kick off on July 5th in Bonner, Montana, and run through an August 17th show in Grand Prairie, Texas (get tickets here).

As for GN’R, the rock legends took the year off as Slash and bassist Duff McKagan concentrated on their respective solo albums and touring. That said, Guns N’ Roses have been building momentum over past couple years with the release of the Hard Skool EP in 2022 and two one-off singles in 2023.

While there’s no definitive word on the long-awaited follow-up to Chinese Democracy, Slash’s latest remarks imply GN’R will likely be hitting the road for some tour dates next year, which happens to be the band’s 40th anniversary.
