Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Stuns in Floral Number at Order of the Garter Ceremony

Fans of the royals may pay special attention to Kate Middleton’s outfits, but let’s give Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh her due. She was spotted in a gorgeous pink and white ensemble at a service for the Most Noble Order of the Garter at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor on June 17.

According to @royalfashionpolice, The Duchess of Edinburgh was wearing the Matchmaker linen and silk dress in coral hibiscus by Zimmermann, paired with a Strathberry crescent shoulder bag in vanilla/diamond, nude leather Prada pumps and a Bespoke Jane Taylor London Artemise hat.

Commenters weighed in on Instagram with compliments. “Absolutely beautiful. Totally love the fresh, pretty print of the dress. The accessories look really lovely,” wrote one. “This is one of Sophie’s best ever looks! This color palette is just stunning on her!” wrote another. “These sorts of powder room wallpaper prints always look lovely on Sophie (and Louise [Windsor]), when they tend to overwhelm many others. The soft pink is also quite refreshing,” added a third.

This ’fit comes on the heels of her lemon-yellow dress from Beulah London that she debuted at King Charles’s second birthday parade as monarch two days prior. He and Queen Camilla were also present at the Garter ceremony, along with Prince William.

The Order of the Garter is the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain. (Seriously—King Edward III established it nearly 700 years ago.) This time, Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester was made Royal Lady of the Most Noble of the Garter.
