Update: March 21, 8:13 p.m. A rep for Soulja Boy has denied a report of the rapper being ordered to pay $10 million in a sexual battery lawsuit.

The headlines and story are false. There is no document to back up those statements made by Blast News. We appreciate the media and wish that BLAST News would do more research to confirm that he was not ordered to pay 10 million dollars to a Jan Doe.

No judge has ordered this claim and Soulja has not been in court or seen a judge to order these claims. We ask that journalists from BLAST News do their diligence and report accurate information to the public as these allegations can tarnish an artist’s brand.

Soulja Boy has been working hard on his new project and managing his new store on Melrose called SODMG. As an entrepreneur, he looks forward to dropping more music to his fans and continuing to motivate future young entrepreneurs.

Soulja Boy has reportedly been ordered to pay $10 million in damages in a sexual battery lawsuit.

The Blast reports that the rapper, né DeAndre Way, was accused of sexual assault and battery by a Jane Doe via a 2021 lawsuit filed by her lawyer, Neama Rahmani. Way will now have to compensate Doe $5 million for pain, suffering, and inconvenience and $5 million for emotional distress.

The three-year-old suit alleged that Soulja Boy abused Doe beyond measure. They first began seeing each other in 2007, according to the suit. But it wasn’t until 2014 that the two rekindled their relationship. It was also at this time that the controversial figure‘s abuse allegedly began. Doe also recalled one incident in which he beat her so severely that she allegedly miscarried their unborn baby.

“[Jane Doe] and [Way] first began their on-and-off romantic relationship in 2007,” the original lawsuit stated. “They restarted their relationship in a more serious capacity in 2014 until mid-2019 when [Doe] could no longer withstand [Way’s] constant abuse.”

“During their conversation, [Soulja Boy] began to punch [Jane Doe] in the face and chest, until she could no longer stand on her feet,” the lawsuit documents. “Soon thereafter, [Doe] suffered a miscarriage and was unable to carry her pregnancy into full term.”

Rahmani detailed the pain her client sustained throughout their relationship. In an interview with USA Today, Rahmani expressed that “it took her years to escape the psychological and physical grasp of her abuser.”

The legal document also recalls Jane Doe being attacked when she told Soulja Boy that she would spend time at her grandmother’s house. A year after that, the couple began filming a reality TV show. Doe began candidly discussing their abusive relationship, which angered Way. The “Crank That” artist‘s anger hit a boiling point, and he began attacking her.

This is not the first lawsuit filed against the rap star. In 2023, the rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Meyers, sued Way and his assistant, Tevin Anderson, for sexual battery. Meyers testified in court about the alleged abuse she endured by the rapper in 2019, recalling getting into an altercation with one of the entertainer’s assistants at a house party that year. The woman claimed she was knocked down and kicked in her stomach. Soulja Boy then allegedly pointed a “large gun” at her head, declaring that “she was going to die.”

He then allegedly requested that Meyers be beaten and tied up. His associates showered her, cleaned her bruises, and then held her hostage. She stated that Anderson told her he would free her if she “performed oral sex on him,” to which she complied. After nearly six hours, the woman was freed. Way allegedly told her, “Now get this “bi**h outta here before I knock her down the stairs.”

After she escaped, Meyers noted that she alerted the authorities. Law enforcement raided Soulja Boy’s home and found weapons that violated his probation associated with another criminal case.
