Want to chow down on tacos, listen to Ludacris or enter your chihuahua in a beauty pageant? You can do all of those things at the Tacos and Tequila Festival at Franklin Field on June 22.

The event falls on a busy weekend; it's also the first Saturday of Summerfest, the first day of Cedarburg’s Strawberry Festival and the same day as a big Kenny Chesney concert at American Family Field, among other goings-on.

Last year's Tacos and Tequila Festival, the first held in the Milwaukee area, had a few challenges, from residents’ noise complaints to parking issues. The event narrowly avoided cancellation after a 3-3 vote from the Franklin Council to approve the event, with Mayor John Nelson breaking the tie in favor. To address residents’ concerns of noise, the Franklin Common Council in May set a 55-decibel limit at Franklin Field.
