The Tale of Rose 2024 Chinese Drama Episode 28 Recap & Spoilers

The ongoing C-drama The Tale of Rose, starring Liu Yifei, released episode 28 on June 20, 2024. As seen in the first episode, Huang Yi Mei (Liu Yifei), the drama’s protagonist, has to deal with desperate men who make advances on her daily. Episode 28, however, focuses on Yi Mei’s separation from her husband.

In the latest episode, the court denies plaintiff Yi Mei’s petition for divorce. It finds that the couple has no solid ground for divorce, and the defendant, Fang Xie Wen (Lin Gengxin), refuses to separate from his wife. Furthermore, the court advises them to work on fixing their relationship. Yi Mei feels disheartened and angry at her husband.

Further in the episode, Yi Mei discloses to Geng Sheng the real reason why she despises her husband. According to Yi Mei, he is obsessed with making money and can’t see anything beyond that. Without even discussing it with his wife, he bought a new company, a car, and a villa. He also looks down on people. In these tough times, Yi Mei finds solace in her daughter, Taichu.

Meanwhile, at his new company’s banquet dinner, Xie Wen gets extremely drunk. Soon after, he starts belittling Yi Mei. Furthermore, he also shows off how he has more money than Yi Mei’s entire family. He also brags about how women throw themselves at him. But before their fight could progress any further, he gets sick and is taken to the hospital.

What happened in The Tale of Rose episode 28’s ending?

Later, Xie Wen wakes up and gets emotional to find that Yi Mei still cares for him, even after he inflicted so much pain on her. He decides not to make things hard for her and agrees to divorce her. Yi Mei returns to her hometown after the separation.

In her hometown, Yi Mei collaborates with her friend to open an exhibition hall. She asks for her brother’s help, who is a professional architect to carry out the mission. Eventually, she meets Zhuang Guo Dong, her ex-boyfriend.

Over a period of time, Guo Dong soon grows close to Yi Mei and her daughter. Furthermore, he reveals that he never got over Yi Mei and is willing to reconcile with her. And two months pass by just like that.

Towards the end of the episode, viewers see that on the day of the inauguration of the hall, Taichu catches a fever. Yimei misses the event and gets another chance to meet Pu Jiaming.
