While Taylor Swift is known for creating fire music, she's apparently not too bad at starting literal fires too—at least, by accident.

The Eras Tour star mistakenly started a kitchen fire in her $50 million Tribeca apartment, and her friend/collaborator Gracie Abrams was there to capture the whole ordeal on camera.

"Writing this entire song from 2am to 6am was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life," Abrams wrote in an Instagram post while celebrating the release of her sophomore album. "@taylorswift now we know how to use a fire extinguisher. I love you."

In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at the pair's writing process, Abrams shared a snippet of the accidental kitchen blaze—and Swift's attempt at putting it out.

“What do I do about this?... I think we're going to die," Swift joked while attempting to extinguish the flames. "Our purses are ruined, and our shoes, and the whole room I think."

While they were ultimately able to put out the fire—which reportedly started from a nearby candle and not some cooking fail—Abrams told Billboard that they did experience the effects: "I don’t know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do. We both had an insane cough from the fire extinguisher fumes for weeks."

Fans were quick to the comments, joking, "when the song is literally fire" and "the fire incident is so on brand for the both of you 💀."

"Fire fighter Taylor in action 👩🚒🧯😂😂😂😂," another person chimed in.

Even Abrams' co-producer, Aaron Dessner, joked about the incident while gushing over the album.

"I'm so incredibly excited to share that @gracieabrams' second album, The Secret of Us, is out today. I couldn't be more proud of Gracie and this record and all the friends who contributed to it," he wrote on Instagram. "They nearly burned Taylor's apartment down writing this song and we had an insanely fun day and night recording it at Long Pond," he wrote on X.
