Taylor Swift is known as many things: one of the biggest musicians in the world, a record-breaking artist, a recently devout Kansas City Chiefs fan, a cat mom, etc. But being a fire safety expert is not typically one of them.

That was until recently when she and Gracie Abrams had to figure out how to put out a fire in the Eras Tour star's home. Abrams released a song with Swift called “Us” on Friday as part of her second album, The Secret of Us. To celebrate the momentous occasion, Abrams blessed the internet with two videos of her and Swift from the night they wrote the song.

The first video is a standard — but riveting, nonetheless — BTS look of the two of them parsing out the lyrics while Abrams sits at a piano. The singers are all smiles as they read off of Swift's phone, trying to work out the song. Abrams wrote in the caption that they wrote “the entire song from 2am to 6am," calling it “some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life.”

The second video, however, showed a bit more chaos. Abrams is filming in what appears to be Swift's kitchen as a candle that tipped over is in flames on the counter. The two singers are relatively calm, considering the circumstances, as Swift searches around for a fire extinguisher.

“I think we're going to die,” Swift says as she finds the fire extinguisher, rushing over to the flames.

“Just press it,” Abrams says to Swift, who is struggling to use the extinguisher.

As Swift tries for a few moments to get the fire extinguisher to work, even calling the device “bitch” at one point, eventually she figures it out, putting out the fire immediately. The pair stand in shock for a second, Swift's mouth agape, as a cloud of residue fills up the room.

“Our purses are ruined. And my shoes,” Swift says about the objects on the counter. “And the whole room, I think.”

It would seem that songwriting has its own dangers.

Abrams later told Billboard in an interview that she and Swift had a cough “for weeks” from the fire extinguisher fumes. “She was such a legend – I don’t know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do,” Abrams continued.

Taylor Swift welcomed Gracie Abrams as one of her openers during a large chunk of her Eras Tour last year. The pair have sparked a friendship in the last few years, and Abrams has also worked with some of Swift's more notable collaborators including Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, who are both credited on her new album.
