Internet stars Josh and Jase from the UK met through TikTok a few years ago. Now, they travel the country, highlighting the culture in each state.
“Originally, I thought we’d appeal to the British audience, and they’d find it interesting. But actually, it’s gone more the other way and Americans say that they appreciate their country a little bit more because we go to these cool places that usually a lot of people don’t go to,” said Jase, a TikTok star.
The past few weeks, they were in New Mexico. “We travel America, and we go to the places that the tourists don’t because America is massive. Americans go, ‘I didn’t even know that existed and I live in the state next door,’” said Josh, a TikTok star.
From Las Cruces to Santa Fe, they’ve seen a lot of the Land of Enchantment in just a few weeks. They took a ride on the tram, a hot air balloon, and even rode a bull.
“We’ve dived in in New Mexico. The only place that we didn’t go was Carlsbad Caverns,” said Josh.
The duo said they enjoyed the heat here, including the green chile. They said New Mexicans have been kind to them, even lending them a hand when their car tire blew out.
Josh added, “It’s amazing because we’ve experienced the Spanish culture, the food, the Mexican culture, and the American culture. It intertwines, so we get both sides of it.”
Josh and Jase left New Mexico on Thursday night. They hope to come back so they can check Carlsbad Caverns off their list.
