'Tis the season for peppermint mocha lattes. Here's where to get one in Springfield

'Tis the season for discounted Halloween candy, wilted jack-o'-lantern faces and of course, peppermint mochas.

The winter holiday season is still a few weeks away, but coffee shops and restaurants are already rolling out their seasonal menus for those who like to get in the festive spirit early.

Starbucks

Only two days after Halloween, Starbucks released its seasonal holiday menu with the return of the reusable red cups. If you're unfamiliar, each winter, Starbucks gives each customer who orders a holiday beverage a free 16-ounce limited edition reusable cup, while supplies last. The cups tend to sell out fast and resell on sites like eBay and Mercari for anywhere between $5-100, for a full season's set.

This year's beverage menu features Starbucks' seasonal favorites, with the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte and Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte all returning.

New this year is the Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai, a traditional chai latte made with gingerbread syrup and oat milk. The latte is available hot and iced.

Cinnamon Dolce, Caramel and White Chocolate creamers are also available.

As for seasonal drinks, Dunkin' Donuts is offering a Toasted White Chocolate Iced Signature Latte, Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte, Cookie Butter Cold Brew and Spiced Cookie Iced Coffee.

A Triple Chocolate Muffin, Loaded Hash Browns (nine hash browns drizzled with jalapeno cheese and topped with bacon) and holiday-glazed donuts are also available.

Scooter's Coffee

Scooter's Coffee is also jumping on the peppermint bandwagon, with a peppermint mocha latte, available hot, iced or blended. The drive-thru coffee chain is also offering its Praline Caramelicious, a blend of espresso, pecan and caramel flavors and Sugar Cookie Latte.
