Are Tolu & Chris Still Together From Perfect Match? She Says…

Warning: The Perfect Match Season 2 spoilers ahead. Despite their ups and downs throughout the season, Tolu and Chris were stronger than ever in the Perfect Match Season 2 finale. But are they still together? Tolu revealed the answer in a telling post-show interview.

Tolu Ekundare and Chris Hahn were two of 22 contestants in the Perfect Match Season 2 cast, which features alums across multiple Netflix reality TV shows, including Too Hot to Handle, Love Is Blind, and The Circle. Tolu and Chris, who coupled up in Episode 4, were one of five couples in The Perfect Match Season 2 finale, along with Stevan Ditter and Alara Taneri; Elys Hutchinson and Bryton Constantin; Micah Lussier and Kaz Bishop; and Christine Obanor and Nigel Jones. Though they were one of the couples who had been matched the longest—after Stevan and Alara, and Micah and Kaz—Tolu and Chris did not win The Perfect Match Season 2. Instead, the cast voted Christine and Nigel as the winners, a decision that was both controversial to viewers and Chris himself.

Are Tolu and Chris still together from Perfect Match Season 2?

We’re sad to say that Tolu and Chris broke up after Perfect Match Season 2 finished filming. Tolu confirmed the split in an interview with People after the finale, in which she revealed that her friendships with her female cast mates were stronger than any romantic connection she formed on the show. “I went in genuinely hoping to find love and establish a genuine connection. And it didn’t pan out that way romantically for me, but I was able to establish really genuine connections with all the women in the house and build this really beautiful friendship and bond and sisterhood,” she said. “So even though romantically it may not have been what I wanted, at the end of the day, the connections that I hoped to gain, I gained them in the girlies.”

Though Tolu didn’t confirm the reason for her split with Chris, she hinted at the differences in their relationship when People asked what she learned from her experience on The Perfect Match. “Know your worth and don’t settle for anything less than that. Know your worth, and put tax on it. And don’t let no man make you lower yourself to get down at his level. He needs to rise up to who you are. Period,” she said.

“There were ups and downs with my experience with Chris in the house,” Tolu told Tudum. “I don’t regret it. I learned a lot about myself, what I want in a relationship, and what I will never settle for in a partner. So fortunately for me, our relationship did not go past Mexico.”

At the time of writing, Chris follows Tolu on Instagam, though Tolu doesn’t follow him back. Despite this, Tolu and Chris appear to be on good terms. Tolu featured Chris in an Instagram post a day before The Perfect Match Season 2 finale, in which they re-created their “do not disturb” scene from the series. “The Perfect Match Season 2 finale drops tomorrow! 🎉 Who are you rooting for? Let’s chat about it! 👑⬇️,” she captioned the post.

Tolu also showed support for her and Chris’ relationship in the comments of her post, in which she responded to fans who named her and Chris as the couple they were rooting for to win The Perfect Match Season 2. “I’m a fan of them 🤭,” she commented.

Tolu also reacted to another fan who accused Chris of playing her to make it to the finale. “I watched itttttt but omggggg Tolu how did u believe in Chris? 😭” the fan wrote, to which Tolu responded, “Girl who were my options in that house?? 🥲”

Chris also seemed to confirm that he and Tolu were on good terms in a TikTok post after the finale of them on a red carpet for Love Island USA. “The perfect match?!” he captioned the post. He also shared another TikTok in which he joked that he and Tolu should’ve won The Perfect Match Season 2 over Christine and Nigel. “So you’re probably wondering how the hell did Nigel and Christine win Perfect Match? Because obviously Tolu and I should’ve won. I mean, clearly, everyone can see that. Everyone can agree with that,” he said.

He continued the video claiming that he and Tolu, as well as the rest of the final couples aside from Christine and Nigel, didn’t win The Perfect Match Season 2 due to rigging in the finale. “What happens is every single cast member on the show gets a vote. If you’re in the house or outside of the house, it doesn’t matter,” he said. “We know there can only be 10 people in that house at one time. So people outside of the house. People who weren’t in the house that much. They either got kicked off or they didn’t rlly come in because they got the boot because they didn’t influence the other date to match with them.”

He continued, “What they did is they made a little treaty. They made a little deal. They made a treaty that if one person from this group, from the outside group, gets into the finale with the final couples, we’ll all vote for them. Nigel was one and Christine was the other.”

Chris also confirmed that he wasn’t one of the contestants that voted or Nigel and Christine to win The Perfect Match. “They didn’t really get in the house that much. This was really the first time they were in the house. They just matched up. They were in for one episode,” he said. “Everyone is going to ask, ‘How the hell did they win?’ Everyone outside of the house during that pact voted for Nigel and Christine to win it. Are they a good couple? Maybe. I think so. But did they deserve to win Perfect Match? Absolutely not. That’s the tea.”
