Tony Khan Says He Has Never Talked To Shane McMahon

A new report provides an update on Shane McMahon potentially coming to AEW.

On a recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Conrad Thompson noted that a friend of his had said that Shane McMahon had contacted some AEW wrestlers to hypothetically talk about potentially coming to the company.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported an update as he noted that he spoke with people “high up on the food chain” on both sides. He wrote that some noted that they never heard anything about that. Others said that they had only heard what Thompson had said about Shane McMahon.

Additionally, Meltzer cited Tony Khan as saying, “I’ve never met him or talked to him in my life.”

Furthermore, Meltzer cited another source who noted that Shane McMahon spoke with an ex-AEW talent in AEW. This was described as just two people talking. McMahon was said to have brought up the potential possibility of coming to AEW as a hypothetical.
