‘Top Chef’ winner odds: Danny Garcia is the season 21 front-runner coming into the home stretch

Danny Garcia is the contestant to beat on “Top Chef” for season 21, set in Wisconsin. That’s according to the latest combined predictions of Gold Derby users who have been placing their bets here in our predictions center every single week of the competition. This is the second week in a row that he has stood atop our odds. Here’s how all six remaining chefs rank according to their likelihood of winning.

So what makes Danny such a formidable foe in the competition? Well, he just won the “Door County Fish Boil” challenge in episode 10, so he has momentum on his side. But it’s not just that. So far, he has won three Elimination Challenges, and he has not been at the bottom even once. He’s the only competitor for whom that’s the case. Now, Quickfire Challenges are another story. He has been hit-and-miss with the judges on those, but the Elimination Challenges are primarily what decide who stays, who goes, and who wins the whole competition.

Right below him on our odds chart in second place is Michelle Wallace, who topped our odds earlier in the season but has had a couple of rough weeks. Her “Fish Boil” dish was one of the judges’ favorites of that challenge. Counting her two wins, she has gotten high marks from the judges in six Elimination Challenges thus far. Dropping a spot to third place this week is Savannah Miller, who also has a strong track record, but came oh so close to elimination in “Fish Boil” after a painful knife injury wrecked her concentration, leading to an uncharacteristically poor dish.
